“Beth” by Kiss debuted on Billboard magazine’s Hot 100 chart on September 4, 1976, and climbed to position 7.  It ranks as the band’s highest-charting hit and was written by Peter Criss, Bob Ezrin, and Stan Penridge.  For three of its  21 weeks was on the chart, “Beth” shared its listing with “Detroit Rock City,” the flip side of vinyl 7” single (Casablanca 863), a certified gold seller.
